Blotato is a content generator and scheduler for nine platforms with an API underneath. Topped does one job for one kind of founder: short-form posts for your app, and when one is built on a real post that already worked, that post and the number it got are on the card.
Blotato is built for solopreneurs, creators, small businesses and small agencies who want a steady stream of posts across many networks without hiring a content team. It turns links, articles, PDFs and prompts into slideshows, carousels, infographics, avatar videos and voiceovers, and schedules them to nine platforms from one place, with a REST API and an MCP server for people who automate.
Topped is aimed at a narrower person: a founder shipping an app or a SaaS who needs TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts to bring users in. Our team hand-picks a large collection of real posts that already worked, and the engine proposes your version of many of them - often with the source post, the number it got and a link to the original on the card before you approve anything.
Both start at $29. The difference is where the idea comes from. Blotato makes content out of whatever you feed it, with templates and, from its $97 plan, a viral post database to start from. Topped proposes the idea for you, often from a real post that already worked for someone else - and when it does, it shows you that post.
Entry plan against entry plan, at $29/month
Blotato's figures come from its published pricing page and help center. A credit is not the same unit on both products, so the credit rows compare policy, not value. Prices move; check theirs before you decide.

What actually differs
Making content is not the same as knowing what to make
Blotato is very good at turning material into posts: paste a YouTube link, an article or a research question and it produces slideshows, carousels and videos in many styles. You choose what to feed it, or start from its templates. Topped works the other way round: it proposes what to post, and when the idea comes from a real post that already worked, picked by our team, it shows you that post and the number it got before you approve your version. You can still disagree, but you can see what the idea rests on.
Nine platforms or three
If your audience lives on LinkedIn, X or Threads, Blotato covers ground we do not. For most consumer apps and many SaaS products, the short-form video platforms are where a stranger can find you without followers. We publish to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts and spend all our effort there.
Two different ways to automate
Blotato publishes a REST API, an MCP server and nodes for n8n and Make, so you can wire posting into your own workflows. Topped offers an MCP server, a CLI and an agent skill, so the AI tools you already use can make, edit and schedule posts as you - on every plan, including free. If you are building your own automation pipeline, their API is the more complete tool.
Where each product is the better buy
Where Blotato wins
- You post to more than three networks. Blotato schedules to nine, including X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest and Facebook. We publish to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts, and that is the whole list.
- You want to build your own automation. A documented REST API plus n8n and Make nodes on every paid plan is a real advantage if you wire posting into your own systems.
- You want formats we do not make: avatar talking-head videos, infographics, quote cards, or voiceovers in dozens of languages.
- You already have long-form material to repurpose. Turning your YouTube videos, articles, PDFs and podcasts into many posts is what Blotato is built for.
- You run many accounts. Twenty connected accounts at $29, with comment and DM reply tools, is far more room than our two.
What Topped doesn’t do
- We do not sell, rent, warm or operate accounts. You publish to accounts you already own.
- We do not automate comments, replies or DMs.
- We do not attribute installs to individual posts. We can show you exactly what a post got; we cannot honestly tell you it caused a download.
- We publish to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts. That is the list - six platforms fewer than theirs.
- We do not publish a REST API. Your own agent connects through our MCP server, CLI or skill.
